My squeaking bathroom door

Every time anyone goes in an out of our bathroom at night I can hear it because the bathroom door squeaks. I've asked by husband to fix it so many times that I am sick of the sound of my voice. I am getting a contractor to fix the job and do all of the other jobs on my husband's to do list. I am sick of nagging him, so I'm hiring in someone to get rid of all of these little issues. This blog is for other fed up wives who just want to see their houses fixed like they asked.

Two Suggestions to Consider When Having New Lines Painted on Your School Property

Blog

If you've booked the school line-marking services of a contractor because the current lines in the school you manage have faded, here are some suggestions you should follow.

1. Opt for non-glossy paint in the playground

When the contractor asks you which paint you want them to use to re-do the lines in the playground, you should specify that you'd prefer them to use either a matte or satin paint instead of a glossy one. In this setting, children will spend around an hour each day walking and running all over the lines that are used to create the playground's basketball court area and its painted-on-the-ground games like mazes and snakes-and-ladders.

Because children are often clumsier than adults, it's expected that they will fall more often. Lines made with glossy paint are likely to be more slippery than a matte option. Aside from interrupting the affected children's lunch breaks and leaving them with painful bumps and bruises, these frequent falls could upset their parents and result in them complaining about the playground's lack of safety. If this happens, you would have to get hold of your contractor again and get them to scrape off this glossy paint and apply a matte or satin one in its place with their line marking machine. As such, to keep the schoolchildren safe, their parents happy and to avoid having to re-do this paintwork too soon, you should avoid using glossy paints.

2. Consider marking the ground with lines that encourage social-distancing

Because it is uncertain how long the pandemic will last and how long, therefore, people will be expected to practise social distancing, it might be a good idea to get the contractor to use their school line-marking machine to add lines that will encourage the schoolchildren to keep some distance between them and their peers when they're walking down the school's corridors or when they're queuing up for food during lunchtime.

These lines will remind the children, who are far more likely to forget these rules than adults, to move around the school in a safe manner that will reduce disease-transmission rates. The presence of these lines will also prove to the schoolchildren's parents that you're very conscious of the risks and are trying to protect their children as much as you can.

These are just a few tips to consider when using school line marking services. Contact local general contractors to learn more.
